SEMINARIANS ON MISSION
           EPISODE ONE (1)

By: Rec Godwinmario the last born of the BVM

Bishop: (on call) What! (in shock and sorrow) Not again! not again!! How many more priests have to die, Lord? (He said as tears dropped down from his eyes) This is the sixth priest who has died at the hands of the Tarswen people(fiction). These people's hearts are too heavy, they are not humans at all and I am not going to send priests to them again.

The carcass of Fada Isaac was released to the Church and was set to be buried immediately at the diocesan necropolis, they mourn his death along with the five others, and on their graves the bishop resolved not to send further priests to Tarswen until the Holy Spirit directs him. Now, at the cemetery, there were priests, seminarians, and the religious, Vitalise and Andrew were there as they look at the incident from a different perspective.

INTRODUCTION OF MAJOR CHARACTERS

Vitalise is a diocesan seminarian in theology three (3). He is the second child of his rich parents, he is from Imo State but joined another diocese. He is passionate, dedicated, and zealous in the work of Christ.

Meanwhile, Andrew is a Benue-born seminarian and the only child of his parents though his father is late. He is a theology one(1) seminarian of Servants of Charity (fiction) and studies in the same seminary as Vitalise. Andrew mourns the death of Fada Isaac but his anxiety increased when the bishop mentioned he was not going to send further priests. Andrew constantly thinks of those poor souls and how much Christ would want their salvation, but what can he do? He is just a seminarian.

Tarswen is a small village that believes in polytheism, the worship of more than one god, they love their gods so much and would not trade them for what they term adopted God. They succeeded in killing six priests of the Catholic Church and are determined to do more if the Church keeps sending them to condemn their gods, "How can we serve one God?" was their famous question "Who will go to war with us? Who will give us justice? Who will bless our farmlands? One God is too weak and we will not accept him". Was their resolution.

Tarswen are uncivilized and poor people who rely on their gods to provide for them, however, even with their polygamous gods, they were still hungry and defenseless people. Everything about their culture and tradition was barbaric and strict.

ANDREW: (in the Chapel praying) Lord, I thank you for the gift of the Catholic Church, I thank you for the life of Fada Isaac who died with his head up. Lord, I know you can not just give up on these people, your nature forbids it, may the blood of your priests not be in vain please do something for the glory of your name. Amen.
