The Cross And It's Glory
Do you know that at the beginning of christianity that the cross or crucifix was unknown among christians?
In the first place the cross depicted shame, humilation and criminality.
The cross you are seeing here is said to be one of the first drawings of Jesus on the cross.
It was made by a non Chrstian to mock the God of the christians. The message to christians was like: look at the person you call your God.
Rather than picking offence christians adopted it as their symbol.
Before now the followers of Jesus were castigated with the name christians by the non Christians too. They also took up the name till date.
Lesson: you must not fight over everything. Most fights we put up are unnecessary. When an enemy throws stones at you before you throw the stones back at him, check if the stones will be in any way useful to you. So many people have been pushed to greatness by the actions of those who wanted to pull them down. As you pray for your friends pray for your enemies too because some of them are "God-sent."
