SAINTS BAPTIZED BY BLOOD ---
The Church teaches that “those who suffer death for the sake of the faith without having received Baptism are baptized by their death for and with Christ.” This is known as the “Baptism by Blood.” We have several saints who have not been baptized with water but are saints because of their martyrdom. Examples are St. Mukasa Kiriwawanvu of Uganda, St. Genesius of Rome, St. Chi Zhuze of China, and St. Emerentiana of Rome.
